Match Day 2014: Finding the Perfect Match

Internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, surgery, emergency medicine, and anesthesiology are top residency specialties among members of the P&S Class of 2014 who participated in Match Day in March.

Among the graduating class of 155 students, 151 participated in the match. Eight graduates from previous years participated in this year's match. Students ranging in age from 20 to 35 matched to residencies from coast to coast and points between; one student matched to a residency in Canada. Nearly half of the match participants—41 percent—will stay in New York state for residency. Primary care residencies represent 39 percent of the match results.
